A quick word on technical support....

I get a lot of PMs.

It really is awesome that people come to us for technical advice and support for suspension....and I really mean that in the most non big-headed way possible. We're proud of how far we've come and how much we've learned since we started in late 2003.

Lately it's been difficult to get to each PM in a timely fashion. We have PMs on this board, a couple other messageboards, phone calls, emails, the occasional walk in, etc. And on top of that we develop parts for a couple of different cars.

Unfortunately a lot of the PMs we get on this messageboard are from people asking for help setting up competitor's suspension parts. OR parts that we offer, but they got them from another shop after asking for a quote from us. I do like to help people and talk about suspension, but I don't like helping people that ask for a quote on a part, then buy it from another shop for literally 3 dollars less, then ask for set-up advice and alignment settings from us. It happens way too often.

Part of the GTWORX and Racecomp Engineering experience is the prior and after sale support and knowledge we can offer in relatively timely fashion. Sometimes we don't have the lowest price....we really wish we could. But I'm sure our customer that called Myles at 3 am because he needed help putting his car back together to get to work was happy he purchased from us. Or the guy who called me at 4 am to talk about 2 piece rotors (wtf ). Or the 2008 STU auto-x National champion. etc.

We don't always offer the lowest price and if that's all your looking for, that's fine that you might not end up as one of our customers. We do have a physical location where you can come and talk to us. We aren't run out of our parent's basement, we've been doing this for over 6 years, and we're not idiots. Price shopping is fine for some people, but I can not provide you with any technical advice, alignment tips, damper settings, etc. It's not fair to us or our clients.

So please think twice before PMing me for technical support on a competitor's product or a product that you chose not to buy from us because you saw it for a couple of bucks elsewhere. I'm trying really hard not to be a jerk about this, so make it easier for me.

We're absolutely not closing the door on anyone that's not a GTWORX customer from talking to us. We're still glad to help people, just use your judgment about whether it's an honest thing to do.

Thanks,
Andrew

+1!!!

I completely agree with you on this, Andrew. It's almost as if they have no confidence in the people they bought the product from.

I can definitely respect you for this post. I know I've asked you for quotes before, I just haven't gotten around to buying those parts yet. Once I do though, I know I'll be coming straight to you due to all the suspension advice you not only given to this board as a whole, but also me personally. Thanks for your efforts; you are definitely one of the top suspension go-to guys on this board!

Thanks guys! I know sometimes people get opportunities on great deals or used parts and all that stuff, or just haven't gotten around to getting anything and that's cool. We've all been there!

I still remember ordering the springs from you guys early in the morning before work, and then winning another set at CBRD's dyno day! haha.

Good times!

I'm hoping your camber/caster plates will be available for the OEM strut setups so I can run them on my MR Bilsteins!
