for those asking...

I really think if you are running under 29psi that the BBK is still the BEST stock housing turbo available for response and power output.

for those wanting to run 30psi or more, the BBKB is the obvious choice

cheers

Seems guys were picking up 30whp at around 26-27psi over the Full without changing anything but turbo and injectors. So for the sake of 280ish RPM, why not go with the B?

Either way, I left you a voicemail on Monday and am waiting to hear back.

After debating between the BBK Full and the BBK-B and discussing it with Mr. Block I went with the BBK Full. The BBK Full is exactly what I was looking for in terms of spool up characteristics, response and overall power. Under normal driving conditions it feels like the stock turbo. Spool up is immediate and the power gains are quite obvious and incredible. The turbo pulls right through to red line and feels great at 27 psi. All around outstanding street turbo.

Now I am going to send my stocker to CBRD and have it converted to the BBK-B to have for when I get the urge for more power.

I highly recommend the BBK Full to anyone looking for a stock frame upgrade and I will also do a review once I order/receive the BBK-B.

The BBK full and B look very close on response on the dyno.. barely 300 rpm of difference...

but you really do feel it on the street.....

At the 27psi (ish) levels, the Full makes stellar torque, power, and the response is awesome!!

the BBK-B can definetly be felt during transient response and shift response... it still spools great but it does sacrifice the response.

We have two options for the evo X also, and almost 75% of the time, I recommend the smaller one because I simply like it better for the street on most of the builds we do

^OK, well either way perhaps we should talk on the phone so I can order one or the other. After a year+ of PMs and talking about it, the build has begun! Whether Full or B I sold off all my old stuff and I need a turbo. Ready to order!

Posts like this make me want the B. Seems everyone who has stepped up from the Full to the B has zero regrets, not only this guy. 430ish at 27psi sounds good to me! I plan to order this week! Hopefully tomorrow if Chad and I can ever quit playing phone tag and get this deal done.

i have seen BBK and ball bearings alluded to in a handful of posts now. Is that something we can expect from CBRD anytime soon?

well for me soon would be early Fall at the latest. After my next deployment is when the 2.4L goes in and i want to have the turbo ready then too. BBK-B is what i am going with i think, but it would be a hands-down decision if there was an option from CBRD for ball bearings.

We are working on it and have our hands on some things...

but its going to be awhile, just like everything we do!!!

It's not as simple as just throwing a ball bearing CHRA with the same compressor and turbine wheels...
