Extender is 4 inches. As for the crunch from second to 3rd, it really depends. The shifter is MUCH more accurate and you can feel the gears way more. Therefore, if the 2nd to 3rd crunch is due to the OEM shifter being slack and allowing for inaccurate shifts, then yes it will fix the issue. However, if the issue is an internal transmission problem, the issue will not be resolved.

Having said that, if you have all of the bushings (Cable and Transmission Arm), the Full Replacement CAGE combined with a good Short Shifter, and new quality transmission fluid, you should not have ANY transmission notchyness, grinding etc unless you have some sort of internal transmission problem.

Hi, I inquired about this product back in february as being a replacement for the lancer models also. You replied the lancers assembly is the exact same, is this still true? thanks!

Have you tested it with the WORKS shifter? If so, can you please provide feedback on the difference it made? I currently have the same set up you do based on one of your older threads and would like to know if there is a dramatic improvement because my current set up is pretty damn sweet.

Any other user reviews would also be nice. I would definitely buy this, just need some reviews first - Thanks!
