is either part lighter then stock? what is the point other then bling factor?

From Toxic Fab site - there are alot more pics on there if you're curious
these covers are girdled with two load bolts that tighten down against the bearing caps in the rear diff. This prevents deflection of the bearing caps leading to ring/pinion failure. This same design has been used on our DSM diff covers for quite some time, with many stock rear differential cars now running 8's (as quick as 8.27 on Devin Schultz's Red Demon). These are good peace of mind for any high horsepower Evo.

Can we still use the oem fill plug or do we have to use the new bling one shown in the pic? Is it in the oem level or raised up like the optional TRE one?
