English Racing LR 2.4

We are now pleased to offer our LR2.4 liter as a bare shortblock option with the addition of the modified waterpump. Of course if anything is needed in addition we can provide that as well, but in attempt to make these more accessible to the DYI'er the LR2.4 will be offered in both finished shortblock and bare shortblock. Any options that you might want (compression/coatings/etc.) can be calculated in as well.

Bare Shortblock-

Sonic checked 2.4 block
GSC Phase 2 156mm H beams
Wiseco LR2.4 9:1 Pistons
ARP main studs
Machined and assembled
Modified Waterpump (no spacer needed)

Starting at $3950+shipping

Sample pix of a LR2.4-

Why we dont use spacers-

What needs to be done to a evo head, to fit on the 2.4 lr shortblock and not have issues?

Bare has no oil pan, no oil pump, no head studs, no gaskets other than the modded waterpump. The finished shortblock only needs your head to make it complete.

Cam gears and in the case of the IX a custom feed setup and one less cam gear.

This basic setup has made 794whp in my car, 748 in Mikey's and I run mine at 700 on the street. I will be upping that with a 3794 before too long so we'll see what the ultimate limit is. If you are looking for a full longblock there are numerous options so me pricing it out is somewhat difficult. If you want my exact motor its 8100 with everything but the Magnus (that means it has the cams and headwork like mine).

Rob,

At this point the only option is the compression. A complete shortblock with the only thing needing to be added is your head is 5600+shipping (compression is up to you).

What is meant by modified water pump? What do you do to remedy the need for a spacer?

Modify the waterpump so it doesnt need a spacer, just a gasket.
