Well I just installed the BR front engine mount and all I can say is wow! Shifting is greatly improved and I already had the Greddy counterweight knob, base bushings and underhood bushings. This mount really made it all come together. Overall vibration didn't increase much. Really not noticable. Outside at the front of the car I can hear some slight squeaks now but definately nothing major. I would strongly recommend this mod. Install is fairly simple. I beat the old mount out while the new mount was in the freezer, heated the metal of the remaining part of the mount and used a table mounted vice to press it in. This is a great mod for $45!

I did both front and rear BR mounts, better shifting and quicker engine/chassis response, a must do easy mod.

How does it affect shifting when the shifter is cable actuated? Without a direct link between the motor and shifter why would it matter? I'm not calling BS. I just don't get how it could improve anything other than driveline slop.

I also have this rattle after installing the front mount. First I thought it was something else. Hmmm 1 or 2 washer on the lower arm should solve that problem.

As for vibration, its very minimal, and so far only felt on the steering wheel. I haven't driven the car yet so can't fully comment, but after making some changes this week I will take it for a spin.

It was a ***** to take off the original mount.

I think it helps shifting because the tranny is not slopping back and forth in the engine bay. I do have some squeaks outside of the car now and slightly more vibration in the car but I think it is well worth it! I do not have any rattle of the lower tie bars. I removed the mount by removing the entire crossmember. I then unbolted the mount from the crossmember. I thought that was the simplest way.
