i REALLY like the torque power on that... its beauty
but i wished it was more whp numbers too! those are alot of mods man for only 350 whp... i think i saw some1 made 350whp with just turboback and mbc tuned by turbotrix... i just wanted to know whats the difference... not saying bad things about anyone but AL is a great tuner and all my friends only get tuned by him and thats what probably ill be doing this or next month (u hear me Al ) but i just wanted to know why the whp on turbotrix is sooo high! thanks man... sorry for any inconvenience

A few thoughts

First of all this dyno reads VERY LOW in relationship to a more typical Dyno Jet

The reason why we prefer it (despite its low reading numbers) is that it is a VERY accurate tuning tool and very accurately replicates real road conditions

This gives you an accurate tune and loading while the car is on the dyno

For example a Evo 8 with stage III and cams makde only 318 whp today onm the same dyno - it just reads lower than a dyno jet

Finally, As a tuner - my # 1 goal in setting up a car is long term reliability, smoothness and a "OEM" feel to the tune. In many cases I leave additional power on the table if and when I see knock counts which indicate a car is having knock.

Very nice response.

Those numbers are extremely good, DDs read pretty low and on a Dyno Jet you'd be seeing around 390-400whp in my opinion and with a little more aggressive tuning, damn I couldn't imagine what the power would be. I wish a more aggressive tune could have been done just to see how high the power could go, and then tuned more conservatively for daily street driving.

Was this done at 23PSI, just wondering?

Oh yeah and I cannot forget the torque, DAMN!!! That has got to be a stock turbo and stock 2.0l record for torque.

And am I reading this correctly, stock Cams and FMIC, Wow I am in a state of shock, especially if this is done only at 23PSI!!! I mean with these numbers who needs a 50trim, kiddin' or am I?

By ups to THE SHOP and AL (dynflash) in norwalk,ct those people top notch when u have time swing by. here are some pics....
would you happen to have the boost plotted in the same dynograph? to make those numbers @23psi, and how conservative Al's tunes are.......where are you reading the 23psi from?

In his signature (23psi) but it doesn't state if that's what the boost was set at during this particular run.

he must have a bad boost gauge. will be nice to see what the MAP sensor on the DD reads

Oh and BTW....CONGRATS ON THOSE BADASS NUMBERS.....holy shat...
You dont need a IX for that.. We have a local here with an 03 that made 405wtq on a mustand dyno with meth and he still has a 03 turbo

I am headed to The Shop now and I will determine how much boost the customer was running on the dyno.

Often the boost gauge and MAP sensor differ which is another reason WHY the Dyno Dynamics is a superior tuning tool which carries on board excelent data logging cabailities

Looking at the run shown in the dyno sheet on the first page the peak boost reaches just under 28 psi and then tapers down to exactly 20 psi at red line

The boost gauge reading in the car may be off

The car should be run at 27 - 28 psi peak boost tapering to 20 on pump gas

On race gas it can spike at 30 psi

I do not think going over 30 psi will yeild any additional power as the turbo is out of its compressor map island

405wtq on a Mustang with stock 03 turbo, sorry just not gonna believe that one.

Wait you live in Florida, and I'm willing to bet I know what controversal mustang dyno that run was done on.

How much does the stock IX put down on this dyno, Al? In the 220-230 region or higher?

Nice number btw.
