I went with the RACE core. The price between the cores is pretty close so I thought it would be a good idea to use the race core.

Thanks.....did it require any trimming of the undertray or front bumper or any kind of modification?

Great Review

Great review! I bought my Race FMIC, the lower and upper pipes, I can't wait to do the install... You answered one of my questions because I wanted to know if I had to trim the bumper any, and looking at the pictures I see I don't. Thanks man! Looks good by the way!

The undertray needs to be trimmed a little. I dont have any pics but just install everything and you can do the undertray last it will be easy to see where you need to trim.

I did not need to trim the bumper at all. However, I did need to take of all the mesh screens and clips and screws that hold them on. This gives you more room for the bumper to not be pushing on the FMIC.

Great info...looks like I know which front mount i'll be adding to my IX. One question though, the first pipe from the IC to the UICP, did that come with the FMIC? or is it seperately ordered. I understand you stated to have used stock UICP, but that piece doesn't look it. Good job again.

nissan2evo,

The Race FMIC is sold as just a core. The stock upper and lower i/c pipes will work with it.

We sell our lower i/c pipe kit and our upper seperately.

The picture I posted shows the stock UICP, I don't know why you think it does not look like it but I assure you it is the stock UICP and it fits perfectly.

Mainly because of how it mounts flush with the endtanks. I understand the stock endtanks curve down....but I guess the stock piping uses a 45 degree coupling to match it up to the IC. I haven't had it apart yet to see but if that's the case then great, stock UICP it is then. Thanks again.

looks really good....I have the older deluxe version and have had the same results when I touch either side of the IC after a couple of pulls, warm on one side cool on the other. BR makes great products and I will probably be switching to their race version once I get their gt35 kit

does the race core come w/ the two couplers for licp and uicp?
2.5" inlet and outlet?

I'm probably going to order one today or tomorrow.
