As soon as the motor and head work is completed. Work on engine is already underway. Hopefully within a couple of weeks.

How about the Buschur drag cams? Or are those not Mivec compatible?

Jeff, Even though it's OKIX's car, I sure do love having it at Buschur Racing! I just hope Daniel doesn't scream too loud when he hears about the cam swapping. I've already told Tony to get ready for Winter time fun in Florida.

Thats great. How come you guys aren't going all out on the head? No stage 3? Also you guys aren't going to do the drop in pistons and rods from Buschur?

Just my own personal preference. The car is daily driven on the street, back and forth to work. My son loves the bottom end and doesn't want to give up any of the light-to-light performance, so I decided to keep the velocity of air as high as possible, but increase the flow a 'little'. The 20G-LT is pretty close to maxed anyway, so, after the season of racing is over, we'll probably do furthur upgrading (as in Turbo/manifold), then we'll revisit the head again. In the mean time, maximum street performance too.

Sorry Jspec, I missed the piston/rod part. The block is being built to Stage III level, but the head is being ported with Standard size stainless steel valves. Since the block will see frequent dragstrip use, the full treatment was in order.

I still don't understand what's so bad about getting a stage 3 head.... I know many people that daily drive the car with a fully built head so there's gotta be something I'm missing... Is it gas mileage???? IDK

I think the idea is that major porting work is done for big turbos. With smaller turbo's you may only cause more lag by porting the head too much. In the case of a green, the turbo is probably being maxxed out before the head is and just increasing the flow of the head a little bit should gain power without introduced any additional lag.

Its similar in a way to small cams for little turbos and big cams for big turbos.
