I thought I would post up...

I got my 60K service done, installed HKS 264's and a new MBC for me while I was there. Then a custom tune.

She made 297whp & 310ft-lbs @ only 20lbs of boost.

K&N Drop-In
B&B TBE
Hallman Pro MBC
Walbro FP

I would have liked to ran more boost, but he thinks I may have gotten a bad batch of gas (Shell 93oct). This summer I'll go back or a fresh tune at some point...
Either way I'm very happy with the #'s it made. I've seen people on this forum with more mods, and bigger cams make less power on the same dyno. So it's all good...

Great numbers on Chads dyno with those mods, I'm sure an IC would help. CBRD is an excellent shop. I would get an alchy kit and you could make about 330whp on his dyno. Good luck.

richer target afr's than normal, more power than normal.... less boost than normal... but what the heck. lol

you are missing some info there, what kind of dyno are you referring to?
20psi, that's little low, I ran 23psi 3rd gear no problem (93oct) and no cams
and how you like the HKS 264 cams, fast spool?

 

So you're saying you put down 300 whp 310 ft-lbs, on 20 psi with bad gas and rich AFR's on Chad's Mustang Dyno? That's pretty darn good. I dyno'd 20 hp less than that there with the same boost levels and a cat.

 

yeah, im not sure on the fuel, this car was just a bit different..

my first pull on my base start map, for these cams and mods, at 18psi was 280/290!

I've barely driven the car, but the cams feel real nice. Better power down low, and the power is way more linear all the way up through.

 

He stated that the fuel was possibly bad. Bad fuel typically produces knock with higher boost. I'm sure 23 lbs will be possible with better fuel in the tank. Also, it was on CBRD's Mustang Dyno. Just for reference, stock VIII's make about 200 on it.

 

^ Yep, with the fuel, he had to richen it up a little more than usual. I'm going to get it re-tuned over the summer with hopes of running more like 22-23lbs.
I was only expecting to make 260-270whp, so needless to say I'm happy
