PPI Porting & Coating Review
I recently purchased (from another EvoM member) a used, Swain coated, stock exhaust manifold and aftermarket O2 housing. From ExtremePSI, I purchased a brand new 10.5 Evo Green.
I'm not sure who did the intial work on the mani & O2, but the manifold did not look sufficiently ported, and the Green hotside was straight from FP... I opted to send both out to PPI ( www.paradigmperformance.net ) for a thorough porting, and also to have the hotside Swain coated to match my manifold and O2 housing.
Wayne was very timely in responding to my pre-purchase questions. So I snapped some "before" photos, and it was off to Paradigm.
During the shuffle, UPS actually lost my hotside on its way back to PPI from Swain. I feared I wouldn't be able to install my turbo on schedule, but Wayne at PPI came through... before receiving restitution from UPS for the lost package (I've done a claim before, it isn't fun) he took it upon himself to call FP and order a new hotside with expedited shipping, so my downtime would be as short as possible. He also took the extra step of having Swain return the coated hotside directly to me.
Wayne's customer service was exceptional, despite UPS being the problem, he managed to resolve the situation to my satisfaction.
The best part, however, was actually getting to see, install, and use the parts! I was very pleased at the level of quality of the port jobs, as my new gaskets all matched very well. I am anxious to get a drum of C16 so I can really open up the Green and see how much it can flow... as for now, I've trapped 119mph on straight 93 with stock cams on my full weight IX SSL... now that is pretty impressive!
Clearly PPI is a good company to work with, they do exceptional work, and they get results. I'm glad I went with them!
