Deadbolt turbos ???

This guy told me to check out deadbolt turbos, cause the are just like the green turbos. Has anybody herd any good things about them or have used them? The only thing I liked was the lifetime warranty on rebuild.

I know the guys who build these and know several local cars that run their turbos, either as upgrades or rebuilt stock turbos. They are good guys. Jerry and Nick will take care of you. Give them a call!

I am not affiliated with them in any way, other than that they belong to the same autocross club as I.

How would you rate their turbos? I understand the take care of but how long will the turbo last?

They are very big in the Subaru community. I had one of their Superzilla 55s on my STI and loved it. They guarantee their work and offer lifetime rebuilds. I've contacted Jerry about having a turbo built for my car back when I was running the stocker, but I've since moved on to something bigger than a simple bolt on application. I wouldn't hesitate though to get a turbo upgrade from them.

I sent them a used turbo I bought back when I had a subaru so they could check it out and see if it needed a rebuild. They check everything against the manufacturer's specs said it was fine and sent it back in record time. No charge or nothing and plenty of communication while they were working on it.

Interesting. So what you guys are saying is that I can get a turbo similar to the 20g green for $400??? I'll try it if I had some extra money.

How can it be as good as a green when the green uses a larger exhaust wheel too? That's the choker on the stock turbo. Now if I could send my GREEN to them and have them put some larger wheels in I'd be all about it.

There are gains to be made with a bigger compressor and stock turbine wheel. Dyno proven gains I've witnessed. Is it as dramatic as a full tilt upgrade? The answer should be obvious.

Would you pay $400ish for about 85-90% of a Green's potential? That may be the question this kit proposes.

Let's judge after testing/results.
