My experience with RRE

I saw a DP sold by RRE last week on SoCal evo forums. When I called them to find out more info about welding a bung for wideband, I was told I was going to get all the hardware to install it. I bought a Perrin DP just a month ago and it came with one 3" exhaust gasket and a some bolts, nuts and washers for connecting to the cat.

When I placed my order, they told me 3" exhaust gasket and the plug for the bung were extra. They were $10 and $5, respectively. I was a bit annoyed about these charges. I thought these things would come with this kind of hardware. Anyway, I paid for it.

Today, I received my package. The UPS guy came today and dropped off the package. Since I work away from home (like many people), my wife signed.

When I got home today, I saw this. The pictures speak for themselves.

WTF!!! It looks like someone played kick ball down the block with my package.

I wouldn't have signed for it. File a complaint ASAP to cover your ***.

I didn't sign for it and I wouldn't have. This is just ridiculous. UPS is probably partly the blame. But the packaging is unacceptable, especially from West coast to East coast. When I got my other exhaust products, such as my Perrin DP, it came in a heavy duty box, not this $hit box made out of paper.

UPS people suck at handling boxes.... Sometimes we ship boxes from my job and we think we pack them good, but noooooooooooooooooooo sometimes they come back cuz it seems like they dropped them off from an airplane... seriously. UPS sucks.... I would blame UPS 89%, sux for you that your wife signed....

Yeah, UPS sucks but this packaging is seriously crappy. The cardboard is paper thin. I have never received exhaust parts in thin crappy cardboard. They all have been thick or double-walled cardboard.

I've had nothing but exceptional service from RRE. Just thought I'd throw that in.
