AMS Solid Rear Diff Bushings!!!

By far one of the best mods to date for the money. I didnt buy these new from AMS but someone who had and didnt use them = my gain. I prob would have bought these sooner if I knew that you could call AMS up and ask for some as I just found out that I prob could have done. They were easy to install, only cause I had a press readily available at my work and air tools and install took all of 10 min. for both sides. I dont get the horrid clunk anymore when I shift gears hard. All in all I am very happy w/ these bushings and would recommend them to anyone at any power level.

Do you get any noise from them while cruising on the highway? I got some additional noise from the Energy poly mount bushings I have.

I have the same bushings and have the whining noise around 60mph or so. I don't know how they wouldn't make more noise as the op has stated since getting stiffer bushings automatically transfers the noise down the driveshaft instead of being absorbed by the bushing.

^Yup, thanks again, one of the best mods i have done like I said. I have a whine, but I am sure its just my x-case, unfortunately... I guess it could just be the bushings, but idk...

np. AMS parts rule dont they.....

i put the rear mustache delete kit in teamed up with the BR side diff brakets and let me tell you rear diff wine/vibration galore.... im told it is normal. so buy you doing solid buchings to the body of the car it is probably also normal for you.

So this might be a good thing for me as I was under the impression that it was possibly my t-case going? It only does it around 60mph in 5th gear though, so idk?

same here. i only get the vibration/grown from 45mph and faster. but since i have there mustache delete and the side brackets at 100mph my car sounds like its about to explode. very very ''race car'' feel like.... and i like that.

Me too! Eric, do these cause there to be a whine like I described or is it all the time, cause mine is only around 60mph in 5th gear, it does some in 4th, but its hardly audible...?

when going slow ''i know it is hard'' but when you do there is not enough load per say on the drivetrain so you dont here it as much or at all... the most you will here it is 55mph and faster but on deceleration as apossed to acceleration.....

i am sure your totally fine. enjoy to solid shifts you will now gain. hehe.

add a AMS front cross member with the solid rear just makes the hole car feel so much stronger between shifts. and builds your confidence. who the hell needs AXE when you got AMS......
