QTP 02 Dump

The installation wasn't too bad, it went on ok.

Upon installing the manifold back on I noticed the fitment of the dump tube and my lower ETS intercooler pipe wasn't very good. There was only about a mm of space between them with the t bolt clamb on.

I pretty much knew that it would more then likely melt it. So after about a week of driving with some of it being pretty hard there is a nice melted spot on my silicon coupler that holds it onto the turbo outlet.

Overall I'd say paying more money for the better fitting 02 dumps out there is a good idea.

My solution is going to be bending the turbo outlet pipe and installing a heat shield wrap on it.

I am sure that if you make a phone call to QTP and let them know of your issue they will be happy to help you. I know that their has been issues with the QTP and the ETC LICP with the coupler. I was under the impression that this is what they addressed when they made re-released it.

I ordered mine and im hoping to get it this week and install it! Im home from school tomorrow night and back until Sunday so that should give me ample time to get everything figured out. Hopefully the installation will be smooth and painless however something just tells me that its most likely not going to go that route.

The installation wasn't too bad until one of the 02 housing bolts stripped itself inside the manifold so I had to cut it off with a cutoff wheel and then used a die to make new threads on it so I could put a nut on it.

PBblaster is your friend and just hope they aren't in there too good.

I plan on contacting them.

Your going to get problems with any other dump tube that's why modifying a car is never going to be the same as stock.

QTP o2 dump looks like shiet all around IMO. I would've paid more money for the EPM and JM Fab's o2 dumps.

^^ as you can see, crappy welds and horrible porting on the inside.

definitly not a prototype or preview model. I took the pictures from a local evo owner trying to sell the unit.

Im just amazed that QTP ships their products out like that. What ever happened to quality and customer service.

Wow...glad I went with EPM...looks great. I believe the majority of o2 dumps will have clearance issues with licps. I have the ETS v2 and it's rubbing on the coupler. Going to either bend it or reweld a smaller pipe towards the end.
