SparkTech does it again Non CDI COP is Amazing

So a few mons back Craig contacted me about trying his non CDI COP to see what I thought. So last week I got his new setup for my stock turbo beast. It looks amazing and installed in minutes.

I love how simple it is with no extra crap. Just 2 plugs and you are done.

I ran this set up last weekend on my car while setting the stock turbo HP record again at 522whp. Since install I have not felt a single miss of any kind. Even after fixing a fuel pump and the AFRS going deep into the 9s on a low timing, 34psi spike. This is one of the hardest simulations I have seen for ignitions to fire through and it did great.

Pic of my car with the new setup

Glad you posted this.
This is probably my next mod to do.

This Thursday I'm doing coilover install, and next week sometime- I'm putting the RED turbo in..
Waiting on FP to send me a new HP wg actuator.
UPS broke the nipple off, so I have to wait til it gets here to install the RED.

Sorry if this is a stupid ?.
But other than the 500+$ difference.
What is the difference between the Non CDi and the CDi COP setup from Spark tech?
And how hard is the install? is it really 5-10 minutes?

Ignition energy at peak boost and rpm is different. The CDi is still going to be the ignition for big turbos and high boost. On Lucas' car the Non CDI is performing well, but if this were lets say a methanol injected car the bigger fatter spark from the CDI would be optimum.

Thx Aaron..
Charlie says hello..

So for example I have the FP RED, S1 cams and meth injection..
Would I better off just getting the NON CDi or save up a bit more for the CDi..

Or will the CDi be optimal, but i can get away with the NON CDi.
5-600$ is a good bit more $..

The non CDI is also easier to install and I feel should be a more reliable option since there is no extra boxes to go wrong or coils that are being driven very hard all the time. The non CDI should give stock like simplicity.

I think even non mechanic could put it on in less then 5min. Remove spark plug cover (4 10mm bolts), 6 factory 10mm coil bolts. Set new COP plate install to allen bolts that hold the cop down and plug in the 2 plugs and you are done.

I appreciate the help.
Non CDi doesn't hit so hard in the wallet either..
