Is it the foam unit, or is there a new revised design? Also, if Jon or someone could post up the dims, we might be able to work something out using our intake pipe w/ the perrin filter.

Thanks!

It's pretty much up to you whether you think the stock intake tube is a decent restriction. Maybe 5-10whp, but then a tune...so it's reasonable if you are adding other parts anyways. I kept the stocker and I'm sure the perrin outflows my old cone filter.

Put this baby on today... I had to wait on a new MAF adapter to get here as the HKS adapter is only 3.5" not 4.5". All in all seems to be a good filter, bot sure on the gains though as I installed a synapse synchronic BOV at the same time, and I have yet to open it up...

Jason,

I dont believe we did a back to back test on your car... I believe it was a different day.

Every car that we have done a back to back on has shown positive results..

we have never NOT seen a gain.

Facts don't lie; CBRD and myself (in the Air Filter Shootout test) have both documented 10whp gains over a K&N cone filter.

Yesterday I went a 12.223@111.32 with a Vibrant filter, a Hallman MBC, and a tune. Everything else in the car is stock. In a couple of hours 9sec9 and I are going to do some baro testing to see if I'm going to switch to the Perrin, then go to the track tonight and Sunday. I'll post the results..

Tom's crunching numbers now and I'm leaving him alone in the car, but I don't think it's coming off .

I'm glad I bought two, I think there will be a rush on these. On our setup it was slightly better than the Vibrant, but you have to understand we are into the fine tuning stage with this combo. It was an improvement so it's staying.

They were not dyno'd on the same day but you also have to take in consideration:

1. CBRD did both tunes
2. Besides adding a Perrin Filter, I also added a BR ported IM/Mil spec TB
3. We added 1 psi of boost
4. Chad has both graphs, but I believe the temp/humidity wasn't too much of a difference.

All I'm saying is that I didn't gain any HP. Facts are Facts. I'm not going to lie. Chad can you post the exact temps/humidity and dyno graphs. I just don't want everyone wasting there money. I'm not trying to make waves.
