cbrd does it again

first let me start off by saying thanks to chad, mark and caleb for making my friends and i two days at the shop an awsome experience. these guys went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and that i left with a big smile on my face, including covering my hotel stay for the night and feeding us lunch and dinner.

i had the guys install new cams, springs, bbk full, jm fab exhaust manifold, megan o2 pipe, 750 injectors, arp headstuds, ported intake manifold and throttle body. chad finished everything up with a tune on their mustang dyno. for details and specifics you can check out my thread in the dyno section.

the shop itself is amazing, with how clean it is, the racing simulators, the gtr in the lobby, and dont forget caleb grabbing lunch for everyone.

well since i was coming from delaware which isnt to far away but far enough, you know things can never go as planned. what started as a simple (for mark anyway) install and tune, and a tune for my buddies wrx, turned into a full three day project that they got done in two.

the wrx that came with me ended up having some boost leek issues which took the guys a couple extra hours to figure out. mark even gave up some of his gaskets from his secret stash to help fix the issues. these guys were determind to get that thing running right before it left and they did just that, borrowing a part from another car and using some special white sealent. chad and mark were there till 1130 at night on tuesday finishing the tune on my car and they even stayed later to adjust the tune on my friends wrx before they left. i cant thank chad enough, i know he missed a dinner with his family in order to get my car finished and thanks to his family members for understanding what cbrd is all about. mark i dont know how you were still awake when we left but thanks for everything. i also have a flag i need to put up so if caleb is available anytime soon let me know, i kow how much he likes heights. i owe you guys a couple of beers so hopefully we can catch up at the car show and take care of that.

chad also ran into some issue while tring to tune my car with the access port so he wasnt able to use it for the tune. being the genius he is, he tuned the car with opensource and is converting all the maps so i can install them onto my access port and still be able to use it for the other positives it has. he also changed all the fuel trims on the other maps (ike valet, econo, ect..) so i can use hem with my new injectors.

all that being said i ended up at 385hp/320tq and left with a completely different car then i cam with. here are some pics i took while there, the lst pick is of a 55r, i think, turbo they had on the shelf sitting next to an evo i/m. i offered chad a straight up trade for my bbk but we couldnt work out the details.

Freaking sweet! Must have been a fun trip! You wouldn't want that laggy pos turbo on the shelf anyways, BBK FTW!
