HEL ss lines vs. technafit: possible issues.

I ordered a set of HEL stainless steel brake lines for my evo 8. Found time to install them and decided to take pics when I started noticing issues that these things just were not fitting like they should. I placed a phone call to the vendor that sold them to me. I told them how I installed the front lines and found that the retainer clip does not fit back on and the hard line from the chassis does not thread anywhere near what the stock one does.

as you can see from the pic, the clean part of the thread was how much more the stock line threaded into. this line was tightened up, and also would not slide in properly into the bracket so the retainer could not be fitted. the line was basically just rattling in the bracket. When I addressed this issue to the vendor I purchased it from, all I was told was--- "You said it didnt leak, so it should be fine".. Not happy with this answer I DID NOT install the rear lines.
I contacted MAP and told them of my situation. Per their recommendation I ordered a set of technafit ss lines. The fitment of these is much better and am pleased, Thanks MAP. Now I just hope I can get a refund from my other lines.

hel on the left, technafit on the right, both front lines. as you can see why the hel has fitment issues with the retainer. its not as tall as the technafit (groove part that is). Also if you notice the technafit has a beefier fitting end. This mounts more snug in between the stops behind the caliper, which keeps the line from possibly backing out. Less movement, less chance of failure.

this is a comparison of the stock rear line and hel line. As you can see the hel line is quite longer. A test fit of the hel line found that the hel line kinks up way too much for my liking if you attempt to fit the longer line. kinked up brake lines are no good.

technafit left, hel right. technafit is exact length as oem btw.

bolt comparisons. hel left, stock middle, technafit right. if you notice the technafit is closest to the stock in size and the hole is chamfered like stock. hel is just drilled.

I went with Hel originally becuase they seemed good, didnt hear much about them on here. I do hear lots of good things about technafit which made me learn to buy products that are tested and proven on here.
