My brother goes to school in Rochester NY. While I typically do all the family's mechanic work it was hard to do so from 350 miles away. He called me a week or so ago saying his car wouldn't start and it smelled, a detailed diagnosis I know. I posted up in the Northeast forum looking for a trustworthy garage that wouldn't charge an arm in the leg. In fact i wanted to avoid a performance shop worried it would cost more.
Anyhow, Emery from STM offered to take a look at it. He said his labor rates were more reasonable than most shops and they happened to be 5 min drive from my brother. He had the car towed over for them to take a look.
I can't say enough good things about the process. Emery kept in touch with both my brother and me throughout the process and got the car running very quickly. Apparently the starter somehow went and melted the positive wire powering it. They did a great job and the price was great.
I look forward to doing more business with them in the future and will further recommend them. If you have any needs in the Rochester area, STM is the shop to go to. I will definitely be stopping in next time i am visiting my bro.
Thanks again to Emery and the other STM crew!
