Installed fp black

I will post pics up as soon as possible. Great turbo, due to my center diff being bad i couldn't get a legit dyno tune . But Dan at Alantic Motorsports gave me a street tune and said I was in the mid 400s on 26.5 - 27 psi. It is a great turbo excellent power around 3600 and it sounds beautiful. Would recommend for any Red owner or any one trying who wants to be a sneaky bastard. In the future I will get a rebuilt transmission unfortunately and a new ignition system to turn up the boost, and then hopefully a legit dyno tune. Will post pics up soon very busy so just remind me. Thanks

How do you rate the spool for daily driving? Any surge?

Sounds good.

Yeah, but if the pump fails then its over for the motor. I have a devils own so i wasn't to sure about it. If i was to run it im pretty sure i could run 30 psi and be at 550. I would rate it a 8.5 because it takes some time to get used to if u move from a stock turbo to the black. But once it hits, it pretty much feels like your taking off.

Helped a friend install this turbo last weekend and I was very impressed for a bolt-on turbo. Full spool was just over 4300rpm and achieved ~330 loads with just a quick road tune at ~27psi. Car pulled very strong til almost 8000 and it was very quick to recover between shifts. Not usually a big FP fan but this was a great turbo.

Ditch that junk system and get an Aquamist, with a real fail-safe and you'll be fine. I've turned off my meth mid-pull and the failsafe works perfectly!

Did you upgrade from a red or what? Curious to hear how you like it, what's different about it driving it daily, etc.

Why is it that aquamist is the more pricey version of meth kits and not the only one with a fail safe????

Looking forward to dyno sheets. I will also be upgrading to the black. Just worried about too much torque for bottom end

Yeah your right just wanted to save money. So its actually holding down a good job and have they been known to fail at all.
Its pretty reliable just a lot of power kicking it so early but it's pretty easy to drive as a daily

Yea pretty much, I have to rebuild my tranny any who so I guess it was sort of like perfect timing but you will love that spool, it catches a lot of people off guard.

LOL why would it not be? You dont drive around in boost constantly so does not matter. The turbo is perfect only thing wrong is the price lol

Very true too much but if you want it bad enough your going to have to spend the bread to get it lol.
