Speed Element OMG air filter
Recently, when visiting the San Francisco Bay Area, I happened to purchase a SpeedElement OMG cone filter which features a dry element and an inverted cone top. I installed it but didn't expect much difference from my previous ITG foam pod filter(a British favorite).
Well to my surprise, my peak boost level immediately jumped from 22#, up to 24# and I reached fuel cut as well. So, I had to turn the MBC down 2 PSI. Eventually, I guess that I'll need to get a retune.
At least to my feeble, addled mind, the 2# increase means that the Speed Element OMG air filter flows a whole lot more air than my old filter. Kudos, Speed Element!

I live in a very dusty environment and since I only installed the SE filter yesterday, I don't know how efficient it is at trapping particulate matter. But, I will let you know.

Yes, sir! Now, I can't make any broadbased comparisons to other filters. However, I do intend to purchase an Amsoil filter in the near future.
