Force-Fed Performance- My experience!
I figured since I had a little bit of time finally I would write a proper review about my experiences so far with my car and these guys. This will be slightly long.
I originally had my car tuned by Babi at Force-Fed on my 50 trim setup. I think my very last power numbers were 413/417 on Epic's MD. The car felt great, I enjoyed my time there watching them tune and overall it was a great experience.
Fast forward a little bit of time and my car isn't running so hot. I keep blowing the gasket between the mani and turbo and the overall running order of the car is less than satisfactory. Justin from Force-fed had originally advised me on getting my manifold resurfaced, but for some reason I had gotten it in my head that the car's tune was the problem.
Well I ended up going somewhere else and thought I had gotten the car fixed with a different tune. I replaced the gasket and it felt pretty good...for a few days. Then it started acting just as bad as before. The car was basically just giving up on me. It seemed every time I had thought I corrected a problem a new one popped up. Like all the gaskets in the exhaust path were bad, the coolant line to the turbo was shredded (even though I had had it replaced) and the mani gasket kept blowing.
Well after a couple tries (my fuel pump started to die on me right in the middle of a tune) the new tuner had tuned it with the blown gasket and the car was running awful (considering the immense hole blowing exhaust gases all over my radiator) I decided it was time to do something. The car was hurt and I don't think the tune was ever the issue.
So I drove the car running like crap back to Fayetteville (it's a 2 hour drive) and dropped the car off with Justin at Epic. We had planned on getting the manifold resurfaced which shouldn't have cost too much. The holiday season was fast approaching along with a few other things going on in my life I didn't really have big money to spend on the car right now.
Thought everything was good till I got the message from Justin basically saying my manifold was F*CKED! Apparently it had warped on both sides. Not sure how that happened (I'm going to try to get in touch with TurboTrix to see if anything can be done because it's there stuff), but it was definitely not the news I wanted to hear. My heart sank as I tried to come up with options available. I couldn't justify the price of a new TT manifold to keep my 50 trim setup.
So...
With me pulling a few strings financially an ETS 3582R kit was ordered. I was excited at the idea of having a brand new turbo kit from a company I knew I could trust installed by people I also had faith in. At the same time my heart sank as I started crunching the numbers of what the overall cost was going to be for me. It was going to be a very crappy Christmas in my house!! But Justin made it happen!!
I'll cut out some of the other parts of the story over the last couple of weeks because they aren't too relevant or important. Mostly a lot of waiting.
The most important part of my review is my overall experience. Justin worked with me the entire time. He kept me updated on everything. He worked with me every step of the way to get something within my budget. And when it wasn't within my budget he went the extra mile to get me back on the road. No corners were cut and no parts that "could work" were put in place of parts that "do work." I literally cannot say enough about the amount of time, effort and diligence Justin and Babi have shown me in the last few weeks. I can't put what I paid here of course, but I will say they made this happen. I don't think I can name another shop (and I've been to A LOT) that would pull through like these guys have (I have to bold this because I can't emphasize it enough. I have literally never dealt with a shop that went this far to help out someone). It was more money than I originally wanted to spend yes, but I have a lot more peace of mind now.
They dd such a god job my buddy within the last couple weeks has also had his head built by them with Kelford cams, etc (which Justin came in on a Saturday at like 6 AM to wait on Fed-Ex to get the overnight parts so he could get to work) and another friend of mine dropped his Evo off on Tuesday to get a full engine build (although he hasn't decided yet which way he wants to go 2.0 vs 2.4L).
Even if I don't get their name out big on EvoM, I definitely will in my area. This is how a business should be run. You take care of your customers and make them enjoy the process. Some people have a hard time shelling out this kind of money for something that's going to depreciate in value, but a little bit of honesty and hard work goes a very long way to make a person more comfortable with the whole buying/tuning experience. My brother's Supra will be going there soon enough along with my Evo again to get their street head!!
Keep up the good work fellas.

Thanks a TON Dan. We are glad you got taken care of and finally found a place you can come to whenever you need anything. I have been in the automotive business for many years now and i know how hard it is to trust someone with your car and your hard earned money to get the job done and not rip you off. Glad we could get you taken care of and we appreciate the things you said. Your friends cars are in the best hands they could be in and will def turn out just as good as yours. Enjoy the new power and we cant wait to get a nasty head/cam setup back in there to let that thing live like it wants too

Thanks to you as well buddy. We are still catching up from some of our economic down turn, but I believe with hard work we'll get it all resolved in no time.
You guys did go above and beyond for us and I can't say enough about it. It's one thing that some people have to think about. You may not make a whole lot on one person's install, but the amount of customers that one person you helped could potentially bring in could make the whole thing worth it.
And exactly like you said treat people like you want to be treated. It's a trait that you don't find too often now a days because most are just concerned with number 1.
I do need to figure out a new boost gauge. I think it only goes to just above 2 bar, so if the car is running more than 29psi it's not going to register. I know it definitely maxes my gauge out now
