Lower motor mount
Lower motor mount
hey guys, just figured id share this with you! if you have power mods, even very mild mods, an aftermarket clutch, heck, even stock...... BUY A LOWER MOTOR MOUNT!!! ive had my evo almost 5 years and just purchased a BLOX lower motor mount, and man do i wish i bought this as my first mod!! shifts are smoother, your car feels much faster, torque is applied sooner, throttle response is much better, and the car just feels smoother (probably due to the engine not lifting everytime u hit the gas).... and i payed like 70 shipped (new)... well worth every penny, and then some!!
im just trying to help someone make the choice i wish i would have made years ago
lol.... thank me later
**note, im not just trying to represent BLOX or anything, buy whatever mount you want
lol... im just stating that WOW changing that mount completely changes the car!

when i did my blox lower engine mount years ago, it made such a huge difference! best way for me to describe is engine was playing basketball before, its now smooth as a bowling ball lol.

i love it!!!and as for replacing it, its really easy... just remove the front cross bar underneathe the car (2 bolts), the front 2 bolts to the front/rear crossmember. Then the back bolt to it. 1 bolt to undo the mount (no need to jack up the motor, as the top 2 motor mounts will hold it in place). The crossmember will come right off now. Take off the 2 bolts for the mount, replace with your new motor mount, and put it all back! took me 10 minutes to do! very easy!
