Issue With Top Level Performance-
its pretty shady, pathetic, annoying, bad business, waste of time, and the list goes on... but we've already seen this type of thing happen more then a handful of times.
the vendor receives money, sends out item, somethings wrong with item, and then it takes the buyer hours of wasting time calling and contacting the vendor back for a refund.
i wonder how vendor's would feel if the buyer said "ok, send me the item, ill have the money sent over to you as soon as you send me the tracking number".. and then the buyer takes his sweet time sending the money... do vendor's not see it this way?
As OP stated, we know vendors are busy, but when you have a PAID customer waiting on an item or a refund, deal with the situation.. take the 5minutes out of your day and deal with your PAID CUSTOMER. When we pay for an item its ALWAYS paid in FULL.
after all, its the customers that keep the vendors business go round.

So far I've had a good experience with Ricky at Toplevelperformance as me and various other members were scammed for thousands of dollars by a member here, I was fortunate to get some money back so I went through Ricky as he had a built 2.4 longblock for relatively cheap. I have not received the motor yet but he has answered my questions and the engine is supposed to go out next week. I expect the motor to be in perfect working condition and in accordance to what he said was in it parts wise.

Well, after seeing the evidence of being told he is buying a clutch that is ready to bolt in to a clutch that needs a total rebuild, I wouldnt hold your breath on a perfect condition longblock. I hope for your sake that it is what you are paying for, but after seeing he ripped someone off for a clutch, what makes you think he wouldnt do it for a longblock?
Kind of freaking me out, I've already been through enough lately
fair enough, but as OP said.. if the Seller is selling an item and saying its in great shape ready to be slapped in and good to go... but the truth is, it needs a rebuild.. something aint right, dont you agree?
Nothing shady, clutch came out of a running Evo. One of our workers opened the clutch n said he inspected it, showed Jesse the pics n talked to him on the phone. Now we come to realize he paid all of his attention to the discs which even Jesse said are in good condition, he didnt realize to check the hub of the clutch. Seems to be a issue with some Exedy tripples, sorry that Jesse had to go through this for us to realize, these Exedys seem to have problems with thier hubs if not driven a certain way, there are threads on Evom about this. Ricky did slack off on the refund of the $300, he let go 3 workers. So now the shop is short handed for the time being, things are kinda a slow in response time. Im Trevor the guy who Jesse was texting back n forth with this whole time he was goin through this. I felt like it was my fault, cause im the one who told him about the clutch in the first place, goin on the word of the worker that checked out the clutch.
I didnt see it myself, turns out the hubs were worn. Even Jesse told me he know it wasnt something he thought was done on purpose. Again the worker concentrated on the discs n did not check out the hubs, i told him about that n he even agreed he didnt look at it. Honest mistake, our trader rating is 71. So this shady stuff makes no sense, as i been sellin parts for over 10 years since back on the DSM forums. I didnt just start selling parts last week, then shady the following week. I kept on Rick reminding him to take care of Jesse, shady people who u hear from in the begining then they dissapear. Ask Jesse how many times we stayed in contact, i felt like hitting Ricky upside his head about this but i knew he was doin alot being short handed but also Jesse needed to be taken care of.
Dude who ask why i posted a hour ago n not answered u in this thread, listen first off shop is not open on the weekends, im at home n i do come online while im at home. I dont stay on Evom every min to monitor the threads but when i get a chance i will. I have no problem posting when im not on the clock so to speak but give me a chance, people make mistakes n i owned up to with Jesse he knows that. Theres always 2 sides to a story, Kris who bought the motor from us. Look at the guy who stole over 20gs worth of money from people on this site. Where is he now? theres stil a APB out on him but where i am? Still here owning up to a mistake to a customer, whose on my fb list still n we still have each other numbers. Jesse is mad cool, so not out to screw him on purpose. I like to make customers happy, get there stuff out on time n when they get it there happy, if there not, i wont run off n change my screen name. Handle it like adults in a professional mannner

Kris before u bought this motor, we talked about that guy n ur situation. I brought it up to u, before u said anything to me. I dont just look at for sale threads then leave Evom, im checking out all threads. I know about that jackass in Chicago. I even told u to help cover urself, list all parts i told u thats in the motor. Even list them on paypal. Now u just mention ur kind of freaking out, so u bought the motor n didnt even tell me u had a Evo 9, till after u payed for it. Knowing the crap u went through with douche ball, i never once said well ok since its a Evo 9 u have, we have to adjust the pricing. Ricky told u that he was goin to setup the motor for a Evo 9 mivec head with cams, springs n retainers at no charge. So i dont get why ur freaking out, when we trying to help u out as much as we can. This would of been shipped out already, if u had a Evo 8 which we thought u had

Been busy this weekend putting a motor in, only signed on to get to get a torque spec, gotta love EvoM
Ricky has taken care of me, took little bit of work but we should be good to go now. I definitely understand that things get hectic, selling parts online and running a business can be very time consuming, that's why I waited so long. We are all human, right?
Trevor is a good dude. He literally responded to my texts anytime of the night/morning within minutes. He even went in on his days off, called me directly and then put Ricky on the phone just to make sure I could speak with him. I do not think in anyway shape or form Trevor would try to sell someone something broken or damaged intentionally. Just so we are clear, he helped me way too much to even come close to calling him shady.
The clutch was damaged purely do to how it was adjusted, alot of people make the adjustment mistake hence the failure rate. The masses need to be educated. The clutches condition has no relation to the condition of the motor or anything out of that car. The cover was mint, flywheel, floaters, pressure plate were mint. Just a small detail that is very major got overlooked. Mistakes happen and I am being refunded. Case closed.
