something as silent as stock would be nice .... I think the Vishnu exhausts are still too loud. Don't forget Vishnu your pricing and quality appeal to an older crowd

I recall reading something about quiet stages, what happened to that? Also how much does one lose by retaining the stock catback?

Correct we still do the stealthback up to stage 1+ with hotside. It retains the factory catback but uses the Signature DP and highflow cat (or stock cat if you prefer)

the standard exhaust isn't loud but its definitely not stock quiet. it sounds really nice though, but it does set off car alarms whenever I drive in my school's parking structure.

is there a significant difference in quietness with stock DP and stock cat and just a signature cat-back instead of full turbo-back?

the best part about the vishnu standard exhaust is that it looks like the stock one. infact the tip may even be smaller.. so it looks better to cops. and as far as noise.. it sounds beautiful and its one of the only evo exhausts that doesnt make the car sound like a tractor.

Actually the tip is the same diameter, but the stock one is slanted in from the top in. A cop won't notice the look.

The tip works like a megaphone, which is why I think the stock pipe has the slant; it might be quieter. That would be an interesting experiment.

I've heard the standard with a 3" insert welded into the tip. It's somewhat quieter, but it will still get your friends out the front door before you arrive .

If there was a type of lightweight waterproof heat resistant wrap, that would be a good way to quiet the system. Anyone know of anything like this?

are you calling my car a tractor asitha?

i had the standard exhaust on my old evo, sounded great, but i wouldn't classify it as quiet by any means.
