As a cutomer I have every right to ask this question.

This was the last thing SHIV said on August 7 almost 3 monthes ago so I am asking for an update but instead I am being harrased by dyno4mance gang plus a vishnu employee.

"LateSleeper- The update will only require a firmware flash. We will make sure of that. We are currently experimenting with different methods of triggering it, from internal logic that predicts when you are launching (which is hard to get just right) to a simple switch that you operate and feed into one of the unused XEDE inputs (which is much easier and more traditional). The system will be armed by simply switching map banks so no computer will have to be left in the car during the run. And the aux rev/launch rpm limit will reset itself after the car idles for a user-definable amount of time. "

I held off purchase for months waiting for the cold idle problem to be resolved. Subsequently I was told that the firmware was ready for release and I made the Xede purchase. The first unit that was sent out had the new firmware in it but the hardware was defective. The replacement unit was shipped with the old firmware.

That said I'm still waiting for a fix to be released. Why do I have to wait for features that I don't need?

I have held back commenting but I consider unprofessional behavior from a company to be reprehensible. How about acting like a business and not a club?

You should just send it in and get the newest version 2 firmware. I don't know why this simple question by Snoop is getting everyone so pissy. It seems like a valid question to me.

Thanks I ask a simple question and people give me so much crap. There should be one answer from Shiv. If you aren't with VISHNU stop hijacking the thread.

I don't know. I have never done any updates myself.

I am being harrased by dyno4mance gang
I don't have a gang, crew, posse, and I would hardly call a harmless joke harrassment...
If I have offended you snoop I apologize but I think you are being a little over sensitive..

Yes they are but SHIV still needs to do testing to make sure it works before giving it to customers.

v3 is now running in cars. Need another 1-2 weeks to get everything in order. Wish it were easier but it's not. As for current firmware, we've only ever released two versions for the EVO XEDE. The old on is 1.6.x and the newest one is 1.7.x. Go to "XEDE diagnostics" to see which one you have. If you have the 1.6.x, simply send your XEDE to us and we'll update it. It fixes the cold start roughness issue that we had with the 1.6.x by incorporating an analog bypass below 5% load. I realistically expect v3 to be in production XEDEs within 2 weeks. Lachlan is here and we're working on it as I type this....

Regards,
Shiv
