23psi in 2nd, 24psi in 3rd??? WTF
hit 23 psi in 2nd gear today...and then shifted to 3rd and ran up to 24psi so i let off real quick...im running XEDE with a 3" turboback catless exhaust...stock intake, Worx BOV (recirculated)..
running the downpipe 93 map from the vishnu site...should i just adjust my boost table?? if so, under what loads and rpm do i need to lower?? i want to run safely, but i dont want to give up power...or are these boost levels safe??
any help would be much appreciated!!
also, shiv if you see this...whens the next time you will be on the east coast...either at turbotrix or dyno4mance? i need a custom tune and an Xflash (dont want to mail out my ECU)...thanks!!

As long as it drops after the initial spike you are okay I think. If not alot of us are in trouble. It should go down and taper after that before holding I believe. Don't worry be happy.

i hit 22-23 all the time (Cali 91 octane, custom tuned by Shiv), you can hear the Xede going nuts with the clicking. Don't really have time to look at the boost gauge to see the taper since 5500-7000 goes by in a flash

but i am hitting high boost in low gears which is what worries me a bit...i will have to detune for now until i can afford to go without my car for a few days (sometime over x-mas break)

To bring boost down a bit, simply reduce the numbers in the boost table. Easy way for non-tuners to do this is to select the whole table and right click your mouse. Select "Add offset" and input "-10". This will reduce your boost by 2psi or more. If it is too much, do it again and input "5". This will add a bit more boost. Those tuners out there can take it a step or two further by adjusting only the offending rpm zones. They can also add a bit of closed loop-like boost control by reducing the duty cycle values just above the regions that you run through. So just in case boost moves higher than usual, the lower duty cycle in the higher cells will bring it back down to normal levels. To see what cells you go through, simply select/highlight the entire map and run your car hard under boost. The active cells will turn yellow.
