I was a little worried about consistant boost levels.. so i figured i picked up a hallman MBC and installed it ( to prevent spiking till i get tuned at the least).. Would this help me prevent any kind of overboost? Im just wondering if i should have the car tuned using the boost solenoid or the MBC... i experience absolutely no spiking the the hallman mbc

hey dude i just put my stage 1 in about a month ago in cold weather i can hit 25 psi and fuel cut there after not much time to get tapper will cause a CEL when you hit fule cut a few times. i can hold 22-23psi all the way to redline if i feather the throttle some. i need a xflash alson but i also have a CEL that wont go away now even though i dont hit fuel cut anymore. anyone know what would cause that or had the same problem?

I had the same problem on the way home from work today. Its a bit cooler tonight. I seemed to be boosting higher than usual with the cooler air. I have an XEDE only, subzero with 93 octane map. I got up to about 23-24 PSI in fourth gear and about 24 PSI in fifth gear. Intermittently, I would get short boost cut at about 4-5000rpm. At some point the SES came on and stayed on. I am not sure when it came on, its obstructed by my boost gauge.

With a search I came across some useful treads

It looks like the options are --
XFlash to allow for higher boost limits before boost cut
Use XMAP and change the boost tables
Re-install the boost restrictor pill

Now I need to figure out what to do about the SES. I will look into it later.

Use XMap to bring down boost to the desired max peak of 22-23psi .

yea i brought down boost a bit...[-7] seems to get me the most boost without hitting a cut...[-5] still hit cut and [-10] brought me down to 20-21psi...had to play with it a bit but right now it is running very strong

i also switched to the stage 1 even though i am not running cam gears yet...this map has worked the best with my car thus far (thanks for the advice shiv)
