Check out my boost map

Hopefully, I attached the file correctly. I was getting really high boost (27psi) so I had to turn it down. I just though I would share.

27 psi is low boost for me; street map boost.

Running 30 psi at track. Got to love the 4g63.

What set-up do you have in your boost line? One bleeder? Two bleeder?

I haven't install any bleeders. I only took out the original pill. I do know, during the Portland dyno day, that you put a bleeder in. All was fine, until I sent in my XEDE in for a firmware update and then my boost went crazy. Which is really strange since the car just sat in my garage without me even touching it. I am still using the stock BOV too.

I bet I could hit 30psi if I went 100% in the middle load cells, but I have the stock turbo.

Is 1.5 kg/cm2 (21.3psi) on an otherwise stock engine (e.g. no ARP head studs) at mid-range RPS (e.g. 3700 RPM) safe for for the long term for street driving, or should I be tuning for a lower number?

That is strange. The firmware doesn't have any affect on boost control. Max boost is also mechanically limited by the size of the solenoid orafice bleed. At 100%, without a bleeder, it won't give more than 22-25psi peak. No amount of software/firmware tweaking is going to change that. What you need to do is check the integrity of the boost hoses and make sure that there are no ruptures/tears. That's my suggestion, at least.

Unless of course the solenoid is cracked

What solenoid are you talking about? The boost solenoid?

I was hitting 27 without the bleeder, then I finally found the bleeder and put it in. Maybe I need to hunt for some broken lines, hell, mitsubishi somehow ripped the water hose that goes from the water tube on the back of the block to the throttle body too, they may have jacked a vacuum line as well. You have no idea how hard it was to find that stupid water leak, it was well hidden. I may have to borrow your map jj 008 if you don't mind, I need to tame the boost demon before he lets the metal particle demons out of my block again.

If you send me a PM with your email address I can send you the file later tonight. The picture is kind of hard to read.

I was wearing my Prada shoes when I made that map so it is good to go.
