Vishnu..What a trip!
Shiv,David,Nick,Dustin and Joel,
Thanks for helping turn a pretty bad weekend into a really great one!
Here's a brief recap:
10 am - Arrived at Vishnu after driving 5.5 hours up from Los Angeles to find these guys trying to get their dyno up and running. Seems as though they had moved it to a new shop and were having a little trouble getting it to work. Things didn't look too good for me and I figured that I would be going home with the horsepower that I had came with...pretty dissappointing.
However, Shiv, David and Joel (shiv's buddy and a mechanic) spent all day and night working on this dyno, talking to the manufacturer in Australia(thank god they were in Australia and open at 10pm pst), hoping and praying not to have to send me home unhappy.
Well, Monday night around 10PM Shiv was able to fire up my car and begin some baseline runs.
Mods are: hks 272/264 cams,AEM cam gears, DC Sports TB Exhaust, walbro pump
Baseline HP without XEde= 230hp
10:30 pm - Shiv smiles, starts plugging in an XEDE while Dave removes boost pill and hooks up boost line to computer.
Xede with 91 oct stage 1+ base map = 263 hp
with Shiv's custom tuning = 273 HP
11:30 pm - Dave pours in a mixture of VP 102 and 91 oct fuel = 100 octane
Basemap 100 oct stage 1+ = 291 HP
with Shiv's tuning = 303 HP
12am - Shiv says "jump in, now for the fun part... a drive test!"
12:15am - Shiv is prying me out of the passenger seat. No joke, this MF'er can drive! Car was super fast and I couldn't believe what it was really capable of doing until Shiv showed me. Unbelievable!
1am - Wake my wife up at the Hotel and spend the next hour telling her all about the last 4 Hrs. Hanging out with these great guys, having a blast and driving away in a BEAST of a car!
2am - I fall asleep while my wife paces the hotel room wishing she had been there for that 10 minute "oh ****" ride with Shiv.
Again, thanks to the Vishnu crew for making it happen and being very patient, down to earth guys.
See you soon!
Scott

You guys done any work on the MR yet?
Yeah hangin out with Team Vishnu equals a good time. Being a passenger in a car driven by Shiv can be exhilerating to say the least but please if you love your wife keep her away from a car driven by Shiv. Now if she sucks in bed, gettin chunky, she's Biiatcchy/naggy and you have a million dollar insurance policy let her gamble with a ride on the Shivcoaster. Hey you can use the money to really Mod the Evo.
