ok i own a 350z, about to trade in for evo 8 in december, but i can tell you experience with evo 8 from a 350z owner pt of view

straight line, i raced an evo 8 from a roll 3 times, i beat it two times outta three but not much, just like half a car length each time, and granted i don't know how good the evo driver was, and i don't know how good i am at driving, and this happened on the street, so it wasn't track conditions.....but thats how it went

but from a dig, i know that the evo can take the 350z , at least from what i've seen on paper, not real life
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know I was going to leave well enough alone but after I saw this post by groovytang telling about his STREET RACING experiences I thought it was fortuidous since he was just condoning what he thought was street racing in my thread. BIGGET!!!

J/K of course. Streetracing in any shape or form w/ any vehicle is neither condoned nor encouraged by any responsible member of the Vishnu family.

I gave in today. Went out to lunch with Seth and a couple others and gave the car a good flogging. 850 miles....close enough

Then I went home and put the xede in with the 93 octane subzero map. The difference was more than I expected. Feels quite a bit faster according to the trusty butt-dyno...although my boost didn't increase much at all. Making about 1 bar in 2nd and 3rd, and then maybe 1.05-1.10 bar in 4th and 5th.

Hope to put the exhaust on maybe next weekend or so.....then we'll see how that feels =P

But first, gotta change the oil for the first time tomorrow.

Cooter,

congrats on the new purchase and the de-flowering. After driving my buddys STI a good bit I have to say that is an impresive car.
