Smile Shiv.........Knock/absolute timing detection

Hey Shiv,

Getting a little weary of waiting for firmware 3.0 for logging capabilities , but in the meantime I was hoping you might be able to point me in a direction for some tuning accessories that may work with the new firmware.

1. Do you recommend a specific wideband O2 sensor? will this integrate with the new logging capabilities of the XEDE with firmware 3.0?
2. How about logging absolute ignition timing? Is pocketlogger a good product for this?
3. How about detonation amplified headphones? Any recommendations or is this pretty much make your own??

Thanks for your time in advance,

1. Any wideband with a 0-1v output will be compatible with v3 logging. A 0-5v output will work to but we're probably going to tackle the 0-1v output calibration first.

2. There is no way for the XEDE to log absolute timing, just offset off of what the underlying ECU is providing. Likewise, there is no way for an OBD-II logger to log total timing since it cannot see what offsets the XEDE is inducing.

3. On the dyno, I use simple rattle finders. I think it is made by Steelman. Comes with a headphone, an amplifier and a bunch of clip-on microphones. Works great. No need for additional filtering as knock sticks out from engine noise as clear as day.
