Until then, we are taking in local beta testers (Stg 1+ cars only) who want to try it. You'll just have to ignore the CEL for a bit until its sorted out.
Drivability will improve to better-than-stock levels. Idle will be smoother. Deccel smoother. And so on.... neat stuff!

Thanks for the information Shiv. It seems that version 3 has great things. I don’t know if this will help you out in figuring Code P0300 but its a shot. My car will never give that code until I slam the hood half way through while it’s on. That is the only way that I get the code. I used to get it every 52 miles (PO300 and PO303 piston number 3) Now if I don’t slam my hood no codes.

FWIW, this is something completely different from the PO300 code some EVOs are getting from the factory. That issue has something to do with drivetrain noise. Either way, one can get an idea of how sensitive the misfire diagnostics are on modern OBD-ii compliant vehicles.

This may be a silly question, but I can't find where anyone has asked it. Can end users update the firmware or do we have to send it back to you for a flash?

Shiv's either missed this or tired of being bombarded with V3 questions every other day.
V3 is basically a hardware firmware update to the Xede. Those that need or what V3 when it becomes available ship it into Vishnu for the free update. Here's a quote from Shiv on some of the features that will be available with V3.
Shiv,
Me would like V3 once it's been given the green light.
V3 is basically a hardware firmware update to the Xede. Those that need or what V3 when it becomes available ship it into Vishnu for the free update. Here's a quote from Shiv on some of the features that will be available with V3.
-Knock logging.
-O2 simulator circuit for test pipes integrated into the harness (easily retrofitable for those who already have harnesses)
-O2/AFR logging
-MAF is now scaled logarithmically at low load and non-log at higher load for max resolution down low without giving up high load resolution. The transition is invisable at 20% load.
-Closed loop fuel tuning. Improves fuel economy since you can program the XEDE to cruise at a slightly leaner AFR. Also fixes idle quality on big cammed cars since you can make it idle at a richer, more stable, AFR. Allows you to, for the first time, tune in closed loop conditions to maximize drivabily and transient power response.
There's a few more features but these were the ones I was talking about. Currently, we're running into a silly CAS replication issue which we are trying to get to the bottom of. We completely re-designed the way the XEDE reads and replicates thye CAS waveform (made it better). But there is still some artifact that we need to isolate and remove. No biggie. Just takes time.

When will the V3 code be available?
And when it is available will we be able to field upgrade our units or do we have to ship them back for the upgrade? This has a huge impact on whether I install everything now or wait for the new code.
Overall though this sounds great!
