Beta testin of that V3...

as one of the greatest vishnu customers i am currently beta testing the v3. and so far its amazing. the cold starts are 100% better.. as in the car fires up instantly now as opposed to some initial sputter. the cat innefficiency light no longer is thrown, (withou cel elliminators) and the feel of the car is believe it or not even smoother than before. (if that was even possible) i qoute car and driver "the power delievery is similar to an amg benz instead of a rice box"

but yeah.. shiv and i are almost done testing it.. except for one stupid glitch that has nothing to do with performance or anything. it should be finished soon.

Version 3 of the xede firmware.

But it still begs the question, 'when's it going to be available to the rest of us?'

wow. I salute you sir.

Jokes aside. Any more info you would care to share on its capabilities?

You have straight 272's correct? Idle improvement?

im runnin straight 272 hks cams... and test pipe. no intake as usual (stock air box)
i do a lot of back road racing and since my clutch is messed up i cant drag race to check how fast my car is now (this is all on 91 octane only btw) that is about all i can do with my car. ANd i must say that i had one of teh best runs ever on my local road and this is with my left front jic stuck on full stiff. The car is runnin VERY STRONG. its almost anoying. i bought a turbo car for teh cool blow off valve sound (which i cant have cuz u gotta run recirc and no intake for sucking sound) so no sound, and no cool turbo spool kick in the but power. i feel like im driving an NA car!!! I think its amazing how linear the power now feels on the car, and for road racing and back road racing it is ideal. This car feels like a na car with power everywhere instead of being peaky. basically an m3 that could somehow make max power at 3000 rpm to 8k. thats what it feels like.

so you are saying that our cars will gain more power with V3?? I thought its just going to have a dashboard so we can see knock and so on. I wish if someone can tell us more about it.

Thanks

ill ask shiv to post all the technical stuff... hes much better at sayin that than i could ever be. .. as far as power is concerned, the car will make a bit more power, but its the smoothness, spool and delivery that will make the car slightly faster. and with the new feel WILL be faster for road racing and general driving.

Hi guys,
V3 completely redesigns the way the CAS and MAF waveforms are broken down and replicated. MAF replication is quite a bit better than it is with v2. So is the CAS although we're still working through a OBD diagnostic glitch (it throws a PO300 code-- nothing else). We'll figure it out before too long. Until then, we are taking in local beta testers (Stg 1+ cars only) who want to try it. You'll just have to ignore the CEL for a bit until its sorted out.

Drivability will improve to better-than-stock levels. Idle will be smoother. Deccel smoother. And so on.... neat stuff!
