I'm getting some goodies from vishnu for the holidays but I have a problem. I currently have the K&n typhoon intake, and the buschur upper intercooler pipe. I'm recently having trouble with the intake so I need to switch it. I was goign to go back to stock as vishne recommends, but it does not fit with the upper pipe. Anyone have any ideas how I can keep the upper pipe, and what to do about the intake to get the best fresults from vishnu's programming? Is their some other intake that might fit, but still has a smooth airflow?

 

Try the Injen kit, comes with new upper i/c pipe too.

Otherwise, you can put your stock upper i/c pipe back, as I couldn't get mine to fit with the BR UICP as well.

Is anyone out there running a different intake system without problems? I just want to keep the upper intercooler pipe, and need an intake that will work with that and the vishnu programming. The HKS? Or just even a cone filter? Any ideas?

 

yeah not to ruin your thread, but if i have an HKS RS intake, will a flash by them make my car not have stalling issues.. right now i have an UR 3" Turboback exhaust.. and plan on installing the HKS rs intake very shortly.. so can anyone explain if the reflash will work with the intake

 

Mr. Buschur said that the upper IC pipe would work with the stock airbox, but it'd be a really tight fit (see here and here towards the bottom). I've talked to a couple of people that have gotten it to work, but I'm interested in trying it myself. If either of you want to sell your Buschur upper IC pipe, let me know because I'm looking to buy one sometime

 

You stand little to gain by doing this. The stock airbox may not be sexy, but it works...much better than you may think.
