I really don't get why people want to hate on Buschur's accomplishments. His 11.65 on the stock turbo was and continues to be a major Evo milestone IMO. Also the 11.23 on the stock turbo that was set last November is fricking amazing.
NEways, my favorite "Shiv Vishnu" moment was at the Chicago Dyno day, when everyone's jaws (esp. Shiv's) hit the ground when they pulled the Porsche GT1 out of the showroom ... it had just been sold, and it sounded AMAZING!!

As much as I didn't want to see this thread turn into a "get your Vishnu punches in" thread, I'd also prefer it not turn into a "get your <insert other vendor> punches in" thread. I was going for feel-good and forward-looking.
Shiv and others, don't let the **** others are trying to stir up here create animosity where there isn't any. I assure you the would-be ****-stirrers speak for nobody but themselves.
Again, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

We made quite a few 11.7-11.8 passes the same day we pulled off our 11.65 pass, which at this time I think was almost a year ago. We have atleast 10 other stock turbo'd EVO's running in the 11's now also, not to mention Curt Brown's 11.2 at 124 mph on the stock turbo.
That 11.65 pass was the last time the car was ever at the track on the stock turbo, so it would be hard for us to keep repeating those times with the car not in that configuration.
Since I crashed my tube chassis car a little over a year ago I have just about completely lost my desire to go to the track and run the car. That is proof by our EVO not being in the 9's or 8's already. We just don't put the time into the car or spend anytime at the track like we use to. The tube car hasn't even been put back together, that will tell you something about our desire to race around here.
My main concern is parts development and constantly improving what we do. I have 9 guys working here and they all need a pay check each week, we have tons of overhead and it all has to be covered.
Don't think my desire to spend my weekdays/weekends at the dragstrip has dropped to an all time low? How do you explain or EVO going out maybe 3 times all of last year to be run? How do you explain the tube car not running anymore? We didn't travel to a single race with the Conquest this year other than once a month to Norwalk for Outlaw street with it. (Let me remind you this is a 4g63 powered RWD, street legal, power windows, carpet, sunroof, 10.5" wide tire car that has qualified at EVERY Outlaw Street event we have entered in a class with nothing but V8's, and has run 8.61 at 158 mph)
It's is just flat out obvious, or should be, to anyone that isn't just being a little ***** that we aren't trying to set any records with the EVO.
Our customers are constantly beating any times we have posted with our own shop car and to be honest, that is the greatest accomplishment I can think of. It proves what we sell works and the results we have aren't even on the edge of what can be done.

We have put quite a bit of effort into the road racing, look at what Robert Fuller has accomplished over the last year and half with his car.
I didn't bring up the drag strip, only defending what we do.

I agree with Buschur: no need to bring him into this discussion. I respect DB and wish him well. I can only add that my car did 11's in a state of tune that is/was also safe for a fair amount of road racing. Paul G. hammered my car on my high octane map at 10/10ths on two separate sessions at the EOC Streets of Willow track day. It held together perfectly. So, if Vishnu has any bragging rights on my car doing 11's, it is the fact that:
1. Engine bay looks completely stock. (except for mini battery)
2. Car will pass smog (in CA) including visual, with minor retrofitting.
3. Looks and runs like stock - no stand alone headaches or ugly SAFC devices on dash.
4. Did 11's on a road racing tune and 12.2 at 112mph on 92 octane, with me driving
That is something that David B. might acknowledge as at least worthy of attention.
