Alright guys, fellow evo owner in need here. I have a grudge race with a lightning tonight for some mula. I already beat him once, but he has added a race gas tune and some 110 octane, i MUST do the same.

i need a stage 1+ 110 octane map if anyone has one...108ish will do as well.

i would rather this be a base off the shelf map as it will be safer, please let me know if it is off the shelf, or custom tuned map.

thanks fellas...

Jeff

you can use race gas and it will help even if you dnot get the map you want.

I just don't think you really understand how mapping works. A race gas map is a race gas map pretty much. As long as its 100 octane, you aren't going to make any noticable jump going to 110 or C16 from what I've seen.

You're going to find that most responsible people will be quite reluctant to share race gas maps over the internet. Every car is so much different than other ones. What would likely happen, is you get a map that was tailored to a car that will HURT your performance. Some cars like timing, some like boost, some like more fuel percentages pulled than others. You'll never know where your car lands until you get it tuned. The race gas map on the Vishnu site is safe for a wide range of cars as long as they run the recommended mods. Any other custom maps from other people at that point you run in your car are a total crap shoot as far as power and knock go.

What you really need to do if you win tonight is take that money and finally invest in some custom tuning on a dyno so you have a real map for your car!

ok, i know all that about other people's maps. i am not going to stick some guys random 110 octane map on my xede and just go at it. i want to compare it to the vishnu map and see how much jump in timing, afr, and so forth that it has...

vishnu has a 104 octane map for stage 1, why not 1+? you have got to be able to get more horsies out of 110 than 100....right? how can you not?

and i have money for a custom tune, and im coming to you guys for that tune. it is about a 4 hour drive and i haven't had my ECU flashed yet to get rid of the boost cut and raise the revs....im probably going to send that off tomorrow, and maybe come up there this weekend or the weekend after.

again, i wasn't really looking to slap someone's custom map on my xede. i want to make some minor adjustments to the 100 octane one that i have, and would like to have "sort of" a template.

how many degrees of timing advance do you generally get for 1 tenth of a bump up on the xede table?

Not really, man. 100 octane will often take a healthy timing bump, a bit more boost, and close to 12.5:1 air fuel in spots. How are you going to make more power than that? Simple, you aren't. I've watched a car tuned on 117 octane make the same power on 101 and not have any detonation events. Interesting, isn't it?

Sure, you might be able to pick up a tiny bit more in spots, but nothing worth the cost of the higher octane, I'm sure of that. I like to mix about 2/3 110 with 1/3 93 for safety, but the car runs great like that.

Take out your seats, spare tire, trunk insulation, run w/ 1/4 tank full.and fill your tires up w/ helium. 100 pounds might get you another 1/4 car length.......

Better yet, put him off for a while and get a stage 3.

lol, i don't think ill have any problem beating him...i already did once(by about 3 car lengths).

ill take your word for it noize, you know more than i do, i just don't see how you can't get more aggressive timing out of 110 than 100.

If you race him on the street from a dig, he's dead without slicks no matter what.
