Anyone in Chicago with Xede?

I might need some help with my install, I couldnt get my car to start, and probably used the wrong wire for boost control. Anyone nice enough to help a evo brother out? Thanks !@

I might be able to help out over the weekend - I live in the SW burbs... AMS in Schaumburg could also install it for you. Should take them less than 30 minutes...

However, did you download the instructions from the Vishnu site? (http://www.vishnutuning.com/files/ev...directions.pdf OR http://www.vishnutuning.com/xede_evo.htm) Other than getting the "correct" boost wire, also make sure that you have a good ground. There's a good ECU pinout diagram at RRE's website (http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...-ecuwiring.htm).

Thanks for the heads up on the ECU pinout diagram... But do you happen to know what RRE calls the 'boost control wire'( from the Xede install info )?

IIRC, it's pin 11, the "Turbo Wastegate Solenoid". Double check here on the forums, though, it's been discussed before. (sorry I'm too lazy to hunt for it ... got work to do )

That was my first guess, too! I will confirm with the gurus @Vishunu when my Xede arrives. Thanks!

I'll be driving through your area in a few minutes.

EDIT: driving through with a correctly working xede.

Ahh I forgot to update this thread. Apparently my harness was bad and I had used the correct wire. Vishnu sent out my replacement yesterday and I was able to get my xede hooked up and running today. So far so good, thanks for the help donour, ams, david!
