The install was a breeze, it took all of five minutes to complete.

The results: the car feels a lot smoother. Power comes in and just keeps going. the low rpm choppy action is gone. So is the 3500rpm "hello, here is the power you ordered!". The power feels like it it there as soon as you let off the clutch.

I just got mine too! Its awesome..haha i can't tell if its my clutch slipping or all 4 wheels breaking loose but good god 1st and 2nd are totally different.

I do have a slight problem that I'm sure is easy to fix. Its pretty cold around here right now...25 degrees tonight and down around 12 sometimes. I had my car hitting boost cut without the Xede a couple nights ago. I have the Xede now and it seems to do it only sometimes in gears 3 and 4.....i haven't had it happen in 5th yet. I looked around here for some answers and found the recommendation that hitting "<" 3 times between the ranges of liek 3000-4500. I tried that and it seems that it has helped, but sometimes still spikes. The more normal average it seems to be running is right around 20 psi now...except still spikes to like 23 or maybe even 24 then boost cut. Do I need to adjust higher RPMs down too just because its cold out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

How long ago did you order it? I'm expecting one soon, but the wait is killing me...

Killasweep, I have a cold weather map that I have turned the boost table down to get stable boost and EGTs. It's probably on the conservative side for 25 deg but may be a good starting point for you.

Did you get v3? How is it?

Is there a way I could get that map from you somehow? Did all you do is turn down the boost? As far as being V3...when I ordered it they said it would be V3 ready, so I just downloaded the Xmap2. Maybe I should try seeing if the Xmap3 works....i'll check it out later today.

I would wait and see on the v3 thing. As far as my maps go, yeah, I just turned the boost down on it. PM Your email address to me and I'll zip it and send it to you.

I ordered my just after Christmas and Vish. was out of stock. However, the wait was worth it. I do have the V3 harness (has two ground wires). I'm not sure about the software though.

Over all the experience wasnt too bad. Dustin put up w/ my weekly 'where is my XEDE' pms w/ grace.

Today is the first day I've really gotten to play (drove to work) and the difference is very noticeable. My car is stock except for the XEDE which is not controlling the wastegate. Basically the car feels much smoother. If I were a reporter looking for a head line it would read 'The search for torque is over!'. I really can't wait until my DP and CB arrive. I can only imagine how the car will feel w/ another 30 - 40 hp.

Yeah I turned down the boost tables alittle...it looked like i just needed to turn it down alittle above 5000 rpm too....that was where i was getting the boost cut....my turbo seems to run stronger than a lot of other evo's for some reason at this range...once I did that everything works fine...looks like 3rd gear is hangin out around 22 psi...tapers barely. We'll see if i got it fixed tonight when the sun goes down. If its still close i'll just adjust down more...i;ve never had the ability to tune my car and the flexibility of this thing seems great. I was getting boost cut without the Xede and now I can fix it! I might just have a cold weather and warm weather map loaded in my 2 banks for right now...have cold weather in the primary and warm in the 2nd so if its fairly warm and extra power is needed for a little spirited driving i can just flip a switch.

I also have to give Dustin props for putting up with my Weekly Xede updates...it did take a long time to get, but the only reason I can think why is because they are selling so quick.

The Xede is awesome...haha i;ve never had all 4 wheels break loose before....it was dry and i didn;t even launch hard...simply amazing the torque I gained....definitely looking forward to a Custom tune next time Vishnu is near Indiana...AMS perhaps?

My problem with the cold was not the Boost cut thing, but keeping the EGT's in check. I was watching them fly past the 900C mark which is supposedly a good recepe for a melted engine, although I have not heard anyone ever say that mine are bad for where I have the probe (about 4" from the block on runner #2).

Right now it is right around 30F here and I am keeping the boost (not including the spike)around the 17-18psi mark and am hitting 875C on the EGT gauge by the time I hit third.

So what I am saying is, just be careful running a sustained 22psi, if I did that I dread to think what my EGT gauge would say

EDIT : Everything other than the boost table is an off the shelf stage-0+ map
