Vishnu Upgraded Intercooler System

Is there any performance information available (before and after dyno sheets, etc.) on the Vishnu Upgraded Intercooler System (described on their web site).

Thanks.

What are the differences between this kit and the AMS kit that is slightly less expensive?

I'd go with the AMS IC. Quite a few people have it, and I've heard only good things about it.

From Vishnu site:

"This upgraded IC, built for us by our friends at AMS, improves power output by cutting pressure loss in half without sacrificing charge cooling efficiency. Likewise, the upgraded lower intercooler pipe removes the 1.5” ID restriction present in the stock lower intercooler pipe."

Then, this is the standard AMS unit I assume. What is the hp pick-up from the upgraded FMIC and piping on a stage 1+?

Thanks.

Correct. We see maybe 10 or so and some consistancy

David,

I just found the AMS site. They quote 20 for the FMIC and 7-10 for the lower IC piping?

Im sure they are right. Under what conditions is the actual question. People usually make a critical mistake and assume every component is "Additive" or you can add the horsepower each mod gives you and thats what you got- This is not so and is the main reason us, AMS and others sell pruven packages and stake our word and rep on it. Its totally arbitrary to me what a component might make under some conditional standards. All I can offer is what is seen in terms of reference to our packages and on a significat # of them to establish a pattern of consistancy

How does this setup compare to Buschur's IC? I know that posting anything pro-Buschur is sacralidge in the Vishnu forum, but I'm new here and and will pretend not to know better.

There is a slight Vishnu vs Buschur sentiment on the board as a whole, not specifically referencing anything that you have posted David. Has anybody had a chance to take a look at the Buschur IC and compare it to the AMS offering? Looking for pros/cons for the two different options.

There certainly wouldn't be any in this post if you weren't dragging it on here. Lots of Vishnu customers are also Buschur customers. I have the AMS IC and lower piping, but I think the Buschur IC is a very nice unit, too. I don't really think one has any power advantage over the other, though.

Since Vishnu resells the AMS IC, and they pay for this forum, it shouldn't take genius-like wit to figure out why they're highlighting it here. If you want to debate the differences of the Buschur IC and the AMS IC, the Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain forum would be a lot better place to do that.
