I want to swap my Vishnu Stage 1 (nonsignature) hi-flow cat for a resonated delete pipe. I'm looking for quieter one with no fitment issues. Where could I find this? Also, will it be 1. quieter 2. louder 3. same as it is now? I've seen Works ($169) and Megan ($69?) - recs? Is there a Vishnu product?

thanks

Scott

Take your cat (or buy a second one from Vishnu) to a muffler shop. Have them bust out the elements inside and weld a 3" pipe internally.

It may require some fabrication on their part like cutting and re welding the ends. You can also put some muffler wrap inside (of the cat housing, not the pipe!) to cut down on additional noise.

My question is...who's going to pay the $20,000 fine for tampering with a catalytic converter?

PM this kind of stuff, don't encourage bad habits.

He said he wanted a quieter delete pipe w/ resonator and no fitment issues. This would fit the bill.

We don't know what his application for the unit is. He might want it for track.

I have a question, does anybody know if I change my cat to a test pipe, will the check engine light go on?

Depends on the test pipe and the amount of time you have it on

I have the Megan Racing resonated test pipe, it is pretty quiet and give the car an awesome deep tone this is all until the boost hits. Then it screams like a banshee and causes avalanches in neighbouring countries.
