new to XEDE

hey
im from sacramento i have an 05 GSR
with hallman MBC and gfb bov

i have been researching lately going back from looking into buying separate parts such as turbo backs cams with maybe WORKS flash dynoflash or even the XFLASH

but i decided that i want to be custome tuned and have a tuner that is somewhat close to me for the convience.

so i decided to choose the v390 w/ XEDE path
i know its a bit pricy but i know it will be well worth it.
i do not know much about my car but im am willing to learn alot and i hope you can help me through my journey.
also i do not know much about the XEDE and hope you can help me with that.

I was wondering what would be the price if i came down there and got the v390 w/XEDE installed and tuned?
and maybe how to use basic XEDE features.. like how to use on laptop..does pc need to be on all the time and stuff like that.

basic use of xede is simple.. i know nothing about tuning cars. but all you need is a laptop with a serial cable to use the xede. i have a few maps, a 91 pump gas one and a c16 race map. i also have a 100 octane one that i use from time to time when i dont have access to the c16. i keep the 91 and teh c 16 loaded most of the time. changing from one map to the other is as simple as connecting two wires together(most people conect the two wires to a toggle switch but im lazy). when the wires are connected i am running the race gas map. when i disconnect the wires i am on the 91 octane map. its as simple as that! i leave the tuning stuff up to shiv and the experts.
