Today at the shop...
Just in case some of you out-of-staters done know what we do all day at the shop, here's a little synopsis of today's work load
02 WRX with upgraded turbo, fmic and injectors. Remove the UTEC (which was tuned by another dyno shop in AZ) and replace it with a reflash. Picked up 40whp, lots of torque and tons of drivability.
05 EV0. Installed v390 kit (cams, cam gears, downpipe, cat-back and fuel pump-- still stock cat). Tuned with v3-upgraded XEDE on 91oct. 272whp with the stock cat. Expect about 280 with free-flow cat and somewhere around 290 with test-pipe
04 STi. Installed v370 package (signature turbo back exhaust and reflashed ECU). Tuned on the dyno at 270whp and 280lb-ft of torque. Forgot to take the whp/torque graph home with me so below is only the afr/boost
oops... reached the attachment limit. More to come

Also from today:
03 WRX with automatic trans. Previously a v300 kit. Today, we upgraded it to a v350 kit by adding a vf34 turbo, injectors and fuel pump. Then we tuned it. With the new mods, power went up from 185whp to nearly 235whp. WRX auto transmissions tend to soak up 20-25whp.
03 EVO. Previously had a full exhaust with off-the-shelf Stg 0+ XFlash. Today, we upgraded it to v390 spec with cams and gears. We also replaced the XFlash with an XEDEFlash and installed a v3-equipped XEDE. Ended up making a healty 274whp with a free-flow cat on 91oct.
So now when you have a hard time getting a hold of me or brandon on the phone, you know what we're doing
Cheers,

Shiv,
I just wanted to say that I am very satisfied with the V-390 upgrade. I almost pee on my pants during the test drive while being a passenger. My only question is, do I need to check the torque settings of the cams and the gears? If I do, how often.
Other than that, it's one hell of an upgrade.

I have run 11.8 in 1/4 in my kleeman 55. Since it is automatic, it's easy to launch. The evo is fast on the twisties and no contest to the 55. I have not drag the evo yet.

Shiv,
WOW, by looking at the graphs, I would have thought that was me tuning the car w/UTEC for the frist time without a wideband and on the street......I seriously can NOT believe that was tuned by another dyno shop in AZ. Maybe thats because it was tuned by a "dyno shop" and not a "tuner." That would only make like 240whp MAX on a DynoJet (shouldnt the base maps make more than that???), dont know what went wrong there, but Im glad its fixed.
The more I think about it, it gets worse....cause I would hope that my [cough] stage 2 cobb [cough] would put down about that much.

Yeah, those CLK55's are quick. I have raced both the old and new body styles. I put about 2 cars on the older one 40 to 100, about a car and a half on the new body style. I thought I was going to get RIPPED because I rode in them before we raced and those things have some power!

I was drivng my car really hard and the thing really pulls. After around 100+ miles on it, I was cruising at 5 gear at that time. Then went to some twisities and was driving it mildly. Then the car in front of me suddenly put on the brakes and I put it on neutral until I stop. Then the car started to idle really rough then it died. I tried cranking the starter twice or three times. Then it finally started and the service engine light came on. I drove it slowly for another 30 miles and I have to rev the engine everytime I come into a stop because it sounded like it's going to die on me. Soon as I got home, I realized I don't have a code scanner. The next day I bought one, plug it in, and found P0330, P0340, and P0300. So it looks like the CAS had a faulty signal and then it misfired. I checked the CAS plug in the engine bay and found out that the ground wire was lose. I retighten it, reset the codes, and drove for 20 miles. I drove it realy hard all the way to the redline at all shifts. It hasn't come back since. I hope it's just the ground wire.

right of passage. It's even scarier when he's on the phone......
