My EVO turns off
It is a combination of 4 three things probably: 1. Your Forge diverter valve is the primary problem. 2. The lightweight flywheel is not as good at holding engine speed steady. 3. The Xede does slightly exacerbate these issues once in a while, but not much. 4. If you have cams and or cam gears, this can also become an issue in being more stall prone.
In the summer, I use my stock diverter valve because I run my AC and that also makes my car more stall prone. With stock DV, my car doesn't stall: even with cams, cam gears, xede, lightweight flywheel, big IC, etc.
v.3 may help you as it has an idle control feature. You can just bump it up 100 rpms and probably be fine.

is youre steering wheel fully locked with that happened? mine used to do that sometimes when i was at low speeds, making tight turns, and not fully depressing the clutch.
mine still does that sometimes immediately after going up a small hill (when the car first starts up), the rpms drop, and sometimes i have to give it a little gas to keep it going.
But this happens maybe once or twice every couple months.

I have more info. No Alex it does not happen around turns. However it might happen when I am driving slowly some time (very rare).
To smogi, I always have had the forge and no problems before However, I will look more into that. We all know that forge does surge under heavy load but not under normal driving.
I am thinking more of a loose vacuum hose as I saw a hose flying few days ago and put it back. But, the lightweight flywheel is also a good point but again it happened when the car was idling too.
I will do some research tomorrow and start looking more in to it.
Shiv any ideas?
Thanks
Wow this is annoying......I have the same problem. I have stage 3 with lightweight flywheel as well.
It just starts to die at stops and at idle an i have to give it some gas to prevent it from dying.
Pretty annoying if you ask me considering the representation of the xede.
"From our engine control options to our suspension systems, our products offer no-holds-barred performance while never sacrificing daily drivability or utility. Others may claim the same, but we actually deliver the goods."
Ya and i spent a lot of money to be stalling at stop signs[U][I]

I am thinking that you may have a loose vacuum hose too. I have NEVER had my car stall on me. I have 272's, Forge valve, Exedy twin disk (lightweight flywheel), and XEDE w/ the latest V2 software. My driveability is exactly like stock.

well if you have a lightweight flywheel, and that does end up being the causal factor, your problem really has nothing to do with the Xede.
Further, IE Evo, running the Cusco twin disk, doesn't seem to be having the same problem. I ran a findanza flywheel for the longest time, and didn't care for it much. Put the stocker back in, and it was much more pleasant to drive.
I have it too from time to time.. I really think my issue is with the MR DV. Happens more frequent during cold cold weather and lower rpm.
I recommend the BR 3" w/magnaflow if you have problems with those pesky porkers.

very good point here. Yes it does happen in cold weather.
