Question Xede harness with 2 ground wires?

I just got my Xede the other day and it appears to have two ground cables. I hooked them both up and the car seems to drive fine but today I got a CEL. Are we supposed to have two cables that need to be grounded?

The 2nd ground should come out of the o2 simulator. Can you please pull the code to let us know what type of CEL you are throwing?

When I reset the ECU (pull the battery) I am able to start and run the car without the CEL. It is when I start the car for the second time that it troughs the CEL. I have tried this a couple times and its happens every time. It seems to happen on startup. The lights on the Xede are blinking red when the key is in the on position. Then I turn the motor over to start and the light goes orange for a second then green. This is when the CEL comes on. It is almost like the Xede is not booted up and ready in time for the car to start.

Also, what is the deal with the rear o2 simulator? How do I install that and how does it work? I have the Test Pipe CEL Fix from the Lancer Shop that I was going to install today. Do I not need it with the Xede?

The Xedes with two grounds come standard with the CEL fix. If the Xede goes green when the car is started, it is booted. In order to determine what problem you are having you will need to pull the code. Is the lancer shop cel fix a wire in, or is it mechanical? You may be getting the problem from having two cel fixes, but we wont know until the code is pulled.

The Lancer Shop CEL fix in a wire in solution. I have not installed it yet. Can i get the code from a local auto parts store or do I have to go to Mitsubishi? I would rater not go the Mitsubishi dealer.

You can just go to a napa or autozone. They will be able to let you borrow a scan tool.

Is their a fix for this? I looked on some other threads for the same engine code and it seems that the wire harness may be to blame. Is this true?

Do you take out the resistrictor pill out of the vacuum hose connecting boost solenoid?? If I was you I would check all your wiring, I think you might have missing something, thats just my 2cents.
