Apexi intake?

How do i tune for an apexi air intake? I get my exide soon.. Is thier a map out thier for it? I dont want to go back to the stock box...

the intake is gonna cause you nothing but problems unfortunately. with xede or without.

i know shiv has tuned for them before and they can work fine, but it just seems that lots of people that had them take them off.

I wonder if they run to lean? does the exide unit tell your a/f ratio? can you you adjust it?

anyway thats all you payed for..sound. you'll get like 2whp. worth 300 bux? your call, id sell it now before it loses too much value and buy a hotside or put it towards a set of cams.

bottom line is there is no base map for any form of non stock intake, it'll take a custom tune to optimize it.... and apperently bbybruno doenst belive in the xede, yet insists on coming onto the vishnu forum..hmmm....

??better tune?? can't the exide be tuned for the intake? what im wordering is, what should i tune, air fuel ratio or boost?

yes your right leif. i dont believe in it. i know a countless number of people with xede and are not satisfied. i'll i've seen is negative.

thats nice... go play on the forum of the product u enjoy. i wont ask cuz i dont care and im pretty sure you wont see me on there flaming that vendors tuning method cuz im not a troll like you.

how am i a troll? are you ignorant, i have an evo and im on evom. anyways i dont care if i'm flaming his tuning method because i have had experience with it and it is not the best.

leif, what are you talking about? are you drunk?

he just made it completely clear that he wasn't flaming any product, all he wanted to know about was the apexi intake.

If you think saying that there is a "better" tune than the xede, is "flaming" then you must have no concept of the word "opinion". If the xede was hands down the greatest tuning method ever, then there would be no market for anythign but it, so unfortunatley Bruno is allowed to make a claim to whatever tuning method he prefers.

I hate to break it to you, but I know people that are unhappy with there xede as well, running only boost controller and turboback. If it is unable to effectively handle those mods, then I wouldn't trust it with more advanced modifications. It's just people opinions, and personal experiences, so i think you need to take a couple deep breaths. Im pretty sure you got on here instantly and started bashing this dude for buying an Apexi' intake.

I guess that makes you a flaming troll?
