boosting waaay too high
boosting waaay too high
Shiv, i spoke with you about this earlier today
in 5th gear, at around 3000-3500 rpms, i hit 24 psi on 91 pump
the only area on the boost chart that was maxed out was over 5000 rpms and in the higher load conditions.
i lowered those, but that shouldn't afffect the boost at 3000-3500 rpms right?
I didn't mess with the boost down there yet b/c it was already at like 95-96 %
I dont understand this entirely, but my problem with hitting 24 psi in low rpms in 5th means its in the higher load conditions on the grid right?
what should i be changing then?
in all other gears, its fine, holding decently at around 22-21 psi and tapering a little

I had the same problem when it warmed up in Houston. I hooked up the Xede and watched the boost table do its thing and noticed that in 4th/5th at 3.5k rpms the load was around 30-40%. What I did was to leave the 20% load cells from 2000-3500 rpm with the original values then lowered above the 30% load cells of the same range 3 clicks(1 psi). It helped keeping the boost at the higher levels in check and not loosing spool up under acceleration in the lower gears since it will never see anything higher than 30% load.
