XEDE USERS: What IC Piping?

For all the Xede Users,

I know Shiv recommends using the stock air box as his tunes for the Xede software are done with them, but how about upgraded intercooler piping? What are you guys using since I don't know anything except the Helix pipes that clear the stock air box. Basically what I'm saying is since Shiv recommends the stock air box, what would he recommend (or his xede users recommend) for intercooler pipes? Thanks.

I have stock upper IC pipe, and he dynoed my AMS lower IC pipe, I threw away my cone intake and bushur upper IC pipe in lieu of the stock box via Vishnus request. The box has to measure an "exact" amount of air, which the box will give, and a cone cant

not that I know of, the box is too big and bulky. Why are you hell bent on the upper IC pipe? its not that big of HP gains,( 5-7?) and you will need another battery to fit the new pipe etc, I think invest the money elsewhere to get a 5-7hp gain. my 2c

I have decided to just stick with the factory intercooler piping. I did alot of research on a new FMIC and short route piping and honestly the factory stuff did really well. Supposedly the lower intercooler pipe helps in spool but thats about it. Next to no gains have been logged by adding the aftermarket piping. Lots of people say WOW BIG GAINS but keep in mind most of the yahoos on here are rich kids that dont have a clue. I am coming from 10 years of DSM ownership and I can tell you by looking at the stock stuff you are much better off leaving it untouched and investing elsewhere.

To stay on topic....I would guess if you can find IC piping that fits with the box you wont need to modify your maps because it hardly changes a thing.

I hate the fact that a conical filter cannot be used because they definatly enhance the turbo aucoustics but I dont want to have a stalling $30k car!

ditto. i think i came up with a solution though. dejon tool intake pipe to oem box and then get another oem box and get it overlayed in carbon fiber or maybe smoothed out and painted gloss black. just for a little bling i guess.

Ditto on the Dejon Pipe. Have it, and have is Swain coated. It will be on the car when Shiv tunes the WR.

I have the AMS lower pipe. I plan on putting the Nisei IC pipe on once it's available. I don't think the Nisei UICP will affect the tune.

I'm just using the stock upper intercooler pipe to keep that stock look. But a nice polished upper intercooler pipe sure looks good.
