No it has the same .63 Turbine housing same center section but a bigger (.70) compressor housing. The favored Garrett housing is (.60 with antisurge collar) in any case the .60 is the one the kit comes with and will have advantages of response I dont expect any power to be lost

Imagine if mark had bought an evo.... imagine the power he would have with all the money he is willing to spend. He would be battling al in the low 10's and high 9's!

DPR (the motor/cylinder head builder), gave us the green light to go 9500....with the way the motor was built,...i have no doubts it will take that rpm easy.

We will need to pull 8000-8300 atleast, with the stage 4 cams we have.

I feel dumb, for having the car down so long,...but we are tryying out new cams, new turbo setup, fully built race motor,...so its taken quite a long time.

Neways back on topic....Vishnuevo8.....dyno slips please

I personnaly feel those power levels are unnecessary for the evo.

At least when I had my stage 3(400 whp shiv dyno) I really didnt enjoy the powerband all that much throughout local canyons and twisity roads.

But Hey!!!!!!!!! Some people like to drag race!!!!!!!!!

I cant wait to try it out, and ill hit the strip as soon as i can get time to learn how to launch this thing. I have a feeling that ill need to install that rps very soon as i see the 2nd exedy twin plate being set ablaze in the near future.

A fellow vishnu customer that just got an AMS gt3076 turbo installed also got tuned. His mods were:Ams TBE, ams fmic, injectors, 272's, ams tubular manifold and 3076 turbo. That car put down 411 or 414WHP. That thing sounded crazy. All in all a good night. Thanks again to shiv and crew!!

BTW, I HATE YOU I.E. You are the true definition of filth. WHY OH WHY Is all i can say.
Asitha,

Did you get pump gas numbers?

Graphs?

pump gas i think was only 310 - 315. i cant remember exact number. Shiv didnt spend too much time on 91 map as i plan to run the car on race gas pretty much everyday. Graphs will be up when he has time.

Quickshifter: I also enjoyed canyon racing and my friends and i do it alost every weekend. However you are correct in that teh big turbo evos are no fun and almost impossibele to drive on the canyons fast. The car will still be fats on the track and thats all i really car about now, especially since i got the cusco diffs as well. I plan to buy a beater to run teh canyons as i wont care if i crash it.

Thats a good point and something that people will need to decide for themselves. Its not that the canyon roads arent enjoyable its that the bar is raised to the next level in terms of speed/skill/nuts. With the stage 2 3071 I have my work really cut out for me, but Ive never felt so connected/focused/on the edge when rowing hard. With a stock car its a pleasant stroll not breaking a sweat, with a ton more power at redline and huge pumpgas #s (stage 2) Im wringing wet. Its intense and Its definately enough to grow into. I honestly dont think Ill be needing more- not in this car.

Is this with a test pipe or cat? With a Cat those pump numbers aren't so bad.

Did Shiv think they should be closer to David's 3071 91/cat 330whp (or the stage 2 3071 w/ 280's/intake manifold at 356).

Also, are you running S.M.A.R.T.?
